日系人家族間の親睦、日本文化の継承、
在住多民族との相互理解の向上

シドニー日本クラブ（JCS）は1983年に創立された、日本人定住者を中心とした会です。特定の宗教や政治に影響されない非営利団体として活動しています。

クラブはボランティアによって運営され、日系家族間の親睦、日本文化の継承、在住他民族との相互理解の向上を目的とし、様々な懇親活動や広報活動、文化教育活動を行っています。現在の会員数は約450世帯。

JCSは基本的に定住者（日・豪両国籍を含む）の互助・親睦組織ですが、クラブの趣旨に賛同する方なら人種やビザの種類を問わず誰でも会員になれます。

Established in 1983, The Japan Club of Sydney (JCS) is an organisation which mainly consists of residents in NSW of Japanese origin. It is a non-profit organisation operating as an ethnic group under NSW law with a neutral policy on religion and politics.

Managed by volunteers, JCS has been acting to foster friendship between Japanese families, introduce and maintain Japanese culture, and improve mutual understanding with other ethnic groups. We　regularly conduct friendship activities, publish newsletters, and support Japanese language education for children. JCS currently has over 450 families on its membership roll.

Although JCS’s original purpose is to promote mutual support of Japanese residents who permanently stay in Australia, we welcome everybody who accepts our tenets and policies regardless of their ethnic background.
