ICE ICE BABY !!!!!

If you are going Skiing  to Japan early next year, do yourself a flavour and be in Sapporo for the Sapporo Snow Festival .It goes for 7 days and starts the second week of February

Its amazing, the Ice Sculptures are out of this world , everything from Palaces , to Egyptian sphinxes and cartoon characters. This was all started back in 1950 by half a dozen students and has become a yearly event.

Also go and see the Otaru Snow Light Path festival about 30 minutes from Sapporo ,there the landscape is lit up with thousands of ice lanterns
